THE SUCCESS
SACEM 30+ Years Celebration

SACEM was established in 1983 with the charitable status in the province of Ontario. SACEM has served our community for more than three decades, and the board has decided to celebrate the event fittingly by publishing a souvenir highlighting the important events of the past. The event is planned for November 07, 2015.

The event will showcase all the projects SACEM undertook in the past, and some valuable projects for our community that are currently underway. This includes a project on Effective Handling of Finance sponsored by the TD Bank and a Project on Depression sponsored by the Rotary Club of Canada. This will be followed by handing over of 108 mats made out of more than 50,000 used milk bags. These mats were made by Tamil seniors, enabling to reduce the milk bags from Canadian dump sites and at the same time helping the under-privileged people of Haiti who at present are sleeping on the bare ground.

We also wish to use this opportunity to celebrate the launch of our next major endevour on this day. As you all are aware of, the 150th anniversary of Canada is going to be celebrated on the 1st of July 2017.  On this day SACEM wishes to make a significant impact on the Canadian soil to stamp the arrival and achievements of the Tamil Community in this wonderful land. To comemmorate this important milestone of Canada, SACEM will undertake a ‘Guinness World Record’ with the world’s biggest Rangoli (Kolam). Launching of this project too will take place during this event. (The approximate size of this Kolam will be over 80 thousand square feet).

The Magazine will be in full colour with more than eighty pages.
